Delhi Yuvadhara finally made an auspicious beginning on Republic Day !!! An Adventure outing was planned on 26th Jan, 2012 to a place called, "Adventure camp, Sohna", which is about 45 min drive from Huda City Centre metro station, Gurgaon. Youngsters assembled at the metro station by 9.00am and transport was organised to pick and drop us to the adventure site.

It was a 39 acre huge open plot, with a scenic view surrounded by mountains. Immediately after breakfast, we were divided into two groups and headed straight for the activities. By lunch time we were done with Rappeling, which involved little bit of trekking to get to the top of the hill, Quad Biking and Paintball.
After lunch, Yuvadhara Coordinator, Mamta pachi gave a presentation on Yuvadhara :- the objectives and activities, role -responsibility at sabha level, Pune Shibir, Karseva shibir at Shirali, gave an update on our Math activities and projects and how the youngsters could contribute to Seva Saptaha and Shrama Seva and their involvement in other Sabha activities. A few yuvas shared their experiences of the NRI shibir which they had attended in Shirali in 2010.

Post lunch, we had a few rounds of Tug-of-war followed by Mechanical Bull. On popular demand, we managed another round of Quad biking. Most of us were first timers to such activities and had a great time together. We left the venue by 5:45 pm after having tea and snacks. We got a wonderful opportunity to bond together and have some adventure. 20 youngsters had registered, however 16 yuvas participated. 4 youngsters unfortunately could not make it due to their ill-health. Few adults supervised this event.

Our Annual Sabha outing, initiated by Yuvadhara, was planned to a historic venue called "'Jamali- Kamali", a beautiful place very close to Qutub Minar and part of the Delhi Heritage Walks. We are very thankful to Akshay Savoor for doing a recee and finalising this venue.

After we assembled and settled down, Shambhavi Padukone, a student of History, gave us a guided tour of the tombs and through the ruins, which was enjoyed by one and all. Later, a few fun games were organised for all age groups. After lunch (Pot-luck was organised), Indu Nagarkattipachi entertained us for a while with her mono-acting. Though rain showers were forecasted, the weather Gods were very favourable to let us enjoy the whole day. We dispersed after having tea and snacks. 17 families, 43 members participated.

Yuva took dance practice sessions (as part of Adi Shankaracharya project) by Prarthana kids

Participated in the quiz on Pujya Parijnanashram Swamiji III and Pujya Sadyojat Shankarashram Swamiji conducted by the Coordinators
