A description of the Keladi, Ikkeri & Nagar kingdoms has been given by Shri Arun Ubhaykar in his article 'Nagar Sansthan' in the Souvenir '300 Years of Bliss'. The historical drama 'Chitrapur Vaibhav' also highlights the role of the Nagar King in honouring our first Guru, H.H. Swami Parijnanashram I, on return from Shringeri. In order to acquaint ourselves with the Nagar kingdom with which our Math and Guru Parampara was closely associated, a Yatra has been planned in the divine presence of H. H. Shrimat Sadyojat Shankarashram Swamiji as per details given below:

Sat 20 Dec 2008 06.00 a.m. Start from Shri Chitrapur Math, Shirali by KSRTC Bus via Honavar - Jog Falls - Sagar (Breakfast) 11.30 a.m. Departure for Ikkeri. Visit Shree Aghareshwar Akhilandeshwari & Nandi Temples and surrounding areas 12.30 p.m. Departure for Sagar (Lunch & Rest) 3.00 p.m. Departure for Keladi. Visit Rameshwar & Parvati temple, Keladi Museum. 5.00 p.m. Departure for Vardashram Sannidi of H.H. Shridhar Swamiji (Tea) 6.00 p.m. Arrival Sagar - Deep Namaskar & Bhajans. Night halt at Sagar.

Sun 21 Dec 2008 08.00 a.m. Departure after Breakfast for Nagar. Visit Venkatraman Temple, Gallige Bettalu & Panchamukhi Anajaneya Temple & Devagange (Lunch & short rest) Afternoon - Visit Nagar Fort and surrounding areas 06.00 p.m. Departure from Nagar to Shirali via Kollur 10.00 p.m. Arrival Shirali (Dinner)

Responsibility of conducting the entire tour will be of Sagar & Shirali Sabhas with assistance from Manager, Shri Chitrapur Math and any other person(s). Accommodation provided will be of dormitory type with common bathrooms / toilets. A limited double occupancy rooms with WC are also available for which additional charges will be levied on the occupants after confirmation by Sagar Sabha who will coordinate the occupancy.

(a) Registration charges for all ex Shirali - Rs.1,000/- per head. Payment mode: Local Cheque / DD favouring Shri Chitrapur Math, payable at Shirali
(b) Ex Sagar Yatris arrangements and charges will be organized by Sagar Sabha.
(c) Additional charges for double occupancy rooms will be intimated separately by Sagar Sabha
(d) Limited rooms with WC are also available in Hotel Varadashree, Sagar. Persons requiring such accommodation will be required to pay the advance as early as possible to the hotel through Sagar Sabha (who will coordinate hotel accommodation)
